As the nights start to draw in, and the clocks go back, take comfort that there are some free, fun evenings in Keyworth during the winter!

That great Keyworth institution, the Village Quiz, is due to be held for the 37th year on Monday evenings in the Village Hall from January to March.

Our multi-talented question setters are currently studying publications as varied as Who's Who and The Beano to ensure that the 2012 quiz will be full of interesting and diverse topics.

The Village Quiz is open to teams of four who represent clubs, schools, businesses or are just friends – so why not think of entering with your friends, family or workmates. Quizzes are always played in a good spirit, we have very glamorous scorers, and the only people who get embarrassed are the question masters!

Refreshments are provided by some of Keyworth's superb community groups, and the interval is always a great chance to catch up with old friends.
