Keyworth & District Local History Society
The Society seeks to promote interest in, and knowledge of, local history in general and the history of Keyworth and neighbouring parishes in particular. We do this through monthly lectures, visits, links with other local history groups, and through individual and group research.
The Society, with a membership of about a hundred, was formed in 1993, since when it has published four books, a number of booklets and a quarterly newsletter. Further particulars may be found on the society's website www.keyworthhistory.org.uk.
Meetings are on the first Friday of each month at 7.30pm in the Centenary Lounge, Keyworth Village Hall.
A new chairman is elected every two years at the AGM in March.
Current Chairman: Keith Barton
Current Vice Chairman: Dave Clarke
