Keyworth Parish Council Serving the village of Keyworth

KEYWORTH AND DISTRICT COMMUNITY CONCERN (Registered Charity No. 1166637)

The origins of this charity as a Trust from 1974 was to co-ordinate and assist local groups in looking after the needs of the elderly, disabled and those less fortunate within our Community.

The main services provided are the Keyworth Day Centre which offers companionship, social dialogue, luncheon, etc. and the Keyworth Community Buses which support the Day Centre as well as providing a shopping service, transporting people in need to local shops.

Please see separate entry on both of these services within the Keyworth Guide on the Parish Council website.

The Trust converted to a registered charity in early 2016 and with new volunteers adding to the experience and commitment of the existing long serving volunteers is well set to continue its services into the future.

The charity is supported by the Parish Council and has over 50 community member organisations

The charity is always looking for volunteers to drive the buses, assist in the Day Centre or to help in other services.
