Important notice re Wysall Lane Burial Ground

A notice along the following lines has been placed on relevant plots at Wysall Lane Burial Ground:

The Parish Council has received numerous complaints about the poor state of Wysall Lane Burial Ground. We know this is a very sensitive matter, but it is and always has been a lawned Burial Ground. As such, there are regulations as to what can be put on graves. Basically, anything on or around a grave must be limited in number and confined to the plinth of the gravestone or the area of the memorial plaque in the case of cremations. So that we can restore and maintain the area to the highest standards, we respectfully ask that all unauthorised objects be removed by October 1st 2015. After this date, we shall remove all such objects and store them for your collection or instruction to dispose.
