KEYWORTH SHOW CONTINUES TO THRILL
Despite a damp and blustery start, crowds flocked to Keyworth for the annual Show. The funfair was back in its usual position (yes, its hard to believe it was even wetter last year), leaving lots of room for all the other stands and performance areas.
The Village Plan team was out in force sharing the preliminary findings from the survey in May. Now the work starts in earnest as they sift through the comments, identify priorities and begin to build an action plan. This process, with further consultation, is expected to take the best part of a year to complete. Then we'll all have a clear picture of how the citizens of Keyworth want to develop the village.
Attending the Show, and visiting several locations in and around the village, were the judges from the Britain in Bloom competition. We know that this year's entry was very much a trial and, depending on a review of the process and the judges comments, we hope to know in a few months whether we're going to put in a serious entry to next year's competition.
